Thifanni brings a fresh and creative approach to every class she teaches. She is known as a friendly and patient instructor whose fascination with chess comes across in her clear excitement to get others engaged with the game. She curates her classes around the individual needs of every student and believes that the key to their success is understanding their unique learning process and motivations.

In 2016, Thifanni won the U18 female Brazilian Championship, and represented the winning Brazilian team in the 2012 South American Scholar Olympiads. A psychology undergraduate of Minas Gerais Federal University, Thifanni remained a devoted chess athlete throughout her studies, playing in a team of four women representing Mogi das Cruzes/São Paulo in State competitions. Before Girl Boss Chess, she taught group and online one-on-one classes in Brazil.
